Samsung Tablet Troubleshooting

If Stratux data stops flowing on your Samsung or Android tablet, power saving modes are usually the culprit.

The Problem

Android’s power saving features can kill background network connections — including your Stratux WiFi data stream. The tablet thinks it’s saving battery, but it’s actually breaking your traffic and weather feed.

Solution 1: Disable Power Saving Mode

Settings → Device Maintenance → Battery → Power Saving Mode → Off

This is the simplest fix. Turn off power saving entirely while flying.

Solution 2: Keep Power Saving with Network Exception

If you want to keep power saving on:

  1. Go to Settings → Device Maintenance → Battery → Power Saving Mode
  2. Select MID power saving
  3. Enable Background Network (slider to right)
  4. Tap Apply

This allows Stratux data to flow even in power saving mode.

Still Having Issues?

  • Make sure you’re connected to the stratux WiFi network
  • Restart the Avare External I/O app
  • Check that Stratux shows connected at 192.168.10.1
