What Are the HDMI and Audio Ports For?

The HDMI and audio ports on your Stratux are part of the Raspberry Pi board inside. They’re not needed for normal operation.

Normal Use

For typical Stratux use, you only need: - Power (USB) - Antennas (978 and 1090) - WiFi (built-in, no cables)

The HDMI and audio ports are unused.

Advanced Uses

If you’re a Linux user or developer, you can use these ports to:

  • HDMI: Connect a monitor to access the Raspberry Pi desktop
  • Audio: Connect speakers (not useful for Stratux)

This requires Linux knowledge and isn’t needed for ADS-B reception.

Repurposing

The Raspberry Pi inside your Stratux is a full computer. If you ever retire the unit, you could repurpose it for: - Home automation - Media center (with HDMI output) - Learning projects

But for flying? Just ignore these ports.
