Why can't I see distant traffic in ForeFlight?
ForeFlight only displays traffic in a 3,500' bubble around your aircraft. From their Mobile Pilot Guide:
"The Hide Distant Traffic setting, shown when your iPad
or iPhone is connected to an ADS-B receiver, is accessed
via the “Gear” button on the Maps page or on the More page
under Devices > ADS-B receiver > Status.When switched ON,
this setting hides traffic that is more than 15NM away from
your current GPS location and/or more than 3,500’ above or
below your current altitude. This allows you to hide
distant traffic targets and may be useful if you are flying
in busy airspace or near large airports with lots of commercial
traffic."
You can verify the traffic your Stratux is seeing by
going to the traffic tab on 192.168.10.1 in a web browser on a device
connected to the stratux WiFi network.
