How do I set up my Stratux?
Attach antennas, power on, connect to “stratux” WiFi, open your EFB app. That’s it!
What apps work with Stratux?
ForeFlight, Avare, FlyQ, iFly, SkyDemon, WingX, Air Navigation Pro, and more.
Do I need a subscription?
No! Traffic and weather are completely free via the FAA’s ADS-B network.
My Stratux won’t turn on (red light only, no green)
The SD card needs to be reflashed. This fixes 90% of boot problems.
GPS says “Not communicating” or won’t lock
The GPS chip probably got bumped loose. Open the unit and push it back into the USB slot.
I don’t see any weather
Weather requires altitude (~1,000 ft AGL) for line-of-sight to ground towers. It won’t work on the ground - this is normal.
I don’t see traffic on the ground
978 MHz traffic requires altitude. 1090 MHz works on the ground but only shows ADS-B Out aircraft. Limited ground traffic is normal.
There’s a “ghost” aircraft following me
That’s your own radar return (TIS-B shadow). Go to 192.168.10.1 → Traffic while flying, find the target at your altitude/0.1mi away, note the hex code, enter it in Settings.
How do I set up AHRS?
Mount Stratux on the left side of the cockpit with antennas up. Calibrate at 192.168.10.1 with aircraft level.
How do I install the AHRS upgrade?
AHRS doesn’t work in ForeFlight
ForeFlight needs extra setup for third-party AHRS.
My antenna ports are loose
Open the case and tighten with the included wrenches.
