AHRS not working or showing incorrect attitude? Follow this guide.
AHRS is an optional upgrade. Check if your unit has it: 1. Go to http://192.168.10.1 2. Check GPS/AHRS tab 3. If “AHRS” shows as unavailable, you don’t have the module installed
Stratux needs to know how it’s mounted in your aircraft.
Default orientation: - Left side of cockpit - Antennas pointing up (toward sky) - Logo facing pilot
If you’ve mounted it differently: 1. Go to http://192.168.10.1 → Settings 2. Click “Set AHRS orientation” 3. Point the nose of the unit toward the sky 4. Tap “Set Forward Direction”

Important: Aircraft must be level and Stratux must not be moving during calibration.
The magnetometer (compass) can be affected by nearby metal or electronics.
Fixes: - Recalibrate away from large metal objects - Move Stratux away from other avionics - In some aircraft, accurate heading may not be possible due to interference
AHRS needs stable mounting. If it can shift or rotate, attitude will be wrong. - Secure firmly to aircraft structure - Use velcro or strap kit: Strap kit video
Excessive vibration can overwhelm the gyros. - Add foam padding under mount - Avoid mounting directly on engine firewall
The AHRS chip works best when warmed up. On cold days, give it a few minutes.
ForeFlight requires extra configuration for Stratux AHRS:

If the status page doesn’t see AHRS:
The AHRS module also controls the cooling fan. If the fan doesn’t spin (when hot), the module may not be connected properly.
If you don’t have the AHRS module, Stratux outputs “pseudo-AHRS” based on GPS: - Gives rough pitch/roll based on acceleration - Not accurate — only for basic synthetic vision - Cannot replace a real attitude indicator
For accurate AHRS, install the upgrade module.
