Troubleshooting: Stratux Won’t Boot

If your Stratux won’t start up properly, follow this guide.

Symptoms

  • Red light only (no green)
  • Flashing green light
  • No lights at all
  • No WiFi network appearing

Quick Fixes

Check Power

Stratux requires 2 amps minimum. Many issues come from weak power: - Use the included battery or a known 2A source - Try a different USB cable - Avoid USB ports on laptops (often 0.5A) - Avoid cheap car chargers (often under-powered)

Check the SD Card

The microSD card contains all the software. If it’s corrupted or loose: 1. Power off 2. Remove SD card (use tweezers — it’s small) 3. Re-seat firmly and try again 4. If still no luck, reflash the card

Reflashing the SD Card

This solves 90% of boot problems.

Still Won’t Boot?

Bad SD Card

SD cards can fail. They’re cheap — try a new one: - Blank SD card — flash yourself - Pre-flashed SD card — ready to go

Bad Power Cable

USB cables can fail internally. Try the included cable or a known-good one.

Hardware Failure

If you’ve tried: - ✅ Fresh reflash - ✅ New SD card - ✅ Known 2A power source - ✅ Different USB cable
